January/February Volunteering

On Saturday, January 22, volunteers are needed for the Future City Competition for middle school students, who will come to the Curry Student Center to learn about engineering and construct "cities of the future"!

On February 5, volunteers are also needed for the Building Bridges Program for high school students, to help with set-up, check-in, and other items.

Please email s.crisp@neu.edu to volunteer!

Building Bridges Volunteer Opportunity for 12/10

We are hosting approximately 115 high school students on Friday Dec. 10, 2010 for our Bi-Annual Building Bridges program once again. The program provides a full day of interactive sessions across each of the engineering disciplines for high school students.

We are looking for NEU student volunteers escort a specific group to a session on campus and then drop them off, or be willing to pick up a specific group from a session on campus and take them to the next activity on campus.

The three pick-up and/or drop-off times are as follows:

(PLEASE NOTE: VOLUNTEERS ARE NOT NEEDED FOR THE FULL SESSION. ONLY TO DROP-OFF OR PICK-UP)

>>> Session A runs from 10:00am to 11:00am
>>> Session B runs from 11:15am to 12:15pm
>>> Session C runs from 1:45pm to 2:45pm

We also need at least 2-3 students to help with registration from 8:30am to 9:50am at the Cabral Center in the John D. O'Bryant African American Institute.
